HUME DAM PENSTOCK REFURBISHMENT

One of the largest dams in the world, the Hume Dam is the major catchment area for the Murray River, playing a critical role in the control and regulation of water flow along the Murray River.

RCE Australia was contacted by Diona to refurbish the four Penstock gate valves responsible for controlling the flow of water from the Hume Dam to the Murray River.

As part of this project, RCE assessed and remediated the four gates and discharge tunnels, which were nearly 100 years old. This work included isolations, dewatering, encapsulation, sand blasting, crack repairs, internal coatings and de-isolations.

Our company’s history with complex infrastructure and commitment to constructing creative solutions made RCE Australia the stand out tender for this essential work.
